Beer and Waffle Baking Class in Brussels: Make and Taste

A 90-minute hands-on class in Brussels where you taste three Belgian beers, select one to mix into waffle batter, bake Brussels waffles at a shared cooking station, and finish by eating them with toppings and your chosen beer. The Experience

The session starts with a tasting of three different Belgian beers, each one explained so you understand what you're sampling. You pick one to carry through the rest of the class—that beer goes into your waffle batter. Two people share a cooking station, and the guide walks you through building the batter and working the waffle iron step by step. The point is not to watch someone else bake; you're the one mixing, pouring and timing the cook.

Once your waffles come off the iron, you choose your toppings and pair them with the beer you selected at the start. You can bake and eat as many as you want during the tasting window. Before you leave, you get the recipe written down so the pairing works at home too—the beer choice, the batter ratio, the timing. It's the kind of detail that makes the difference between a class you forget and one you actually use.
