The experience
You start with morning tea at the cellar door, then move into A tavola! Cooking School where Katrina Pizzini teaches you the secrets to preparing traditional Italian style dishes. This is hands-on: you make the food, not watch a demonstration. Before lunch, you walk through the winery's barrel room to taste Italian wine varieties (Sangiovese, Nebbiolo and Canaiolo), as they age in wood, learning how the family sources and develops them.
Lunch follows the tasting. You eat the Italian dishes you prepared during the class, paired with your choice from the Pizzini range: anything from a fresh Prosecco to an aged Nebbiolo from the family's reserve. The whole day runs about five hours and stays within the working winery and its grounds, so you're never far from the cellar door or the kitchen.
What’s included
