A six-hour cooking class in Nha Trang where you shop at a local market, visit a coconut plantation and noodle factory, then prepare three authentic Vietnamese dishes under Chef Dat's instruction at his restaurant kitchen. The Experience

The day starts with pickup from your hotel, then moves through the places where Nha Trang cooks source their food. You'll stop at a coconut plantation to taste fresh coconut juice and learn how it figures into local cooking, visit a noodle factory to see how pho noodles are made, and walk through a local market to select the ingredients you'll cook with. A vegetable and herb garden rounds out the sourcing part of the morning, so by the time you reach Chef Dat's kitchen at Viet Garden, you understand where everything comes from.

At the kitchen, you prepare three dishes hands-on—choosing from options like spring rolls, green papaya salad, chicken curry, fish in clay pot, pho, bun cha, or chicken lemongrass, depending on what Chef Dat has planned. You're not watching a demonstration; you're doing the work, with Chef Dat guiding you through technique, flavor-building and the reasoning behind each step. His English is fluent enough that the instruction stays clear without losing detail. Once the dishes are cooked, you eat what you've made, then receive printed recipes so you can recreate the meals at home.
