The day starts at Pike Place Market itself. You'll walk through the stalls with a cocktail designer who knows the vendors and their stories: the ones who supply Seattle's best bars. You're not touring. You're shopping with purpose. You'll sample fresh fruits, herbs, spices and local specialties as you go, learning which vendors matter for cocktails and why. The walk passes the legendary Pike Place Fish Market, where you'll see the fishmongers tossing salmon through the air, and you'll learn how citrus, herbs, and even seafood pairings inspire the drinks you're about to make.

By the time you leave the market, your bag holds the ingredients you've chosen: seasonal fruits, citrus, local honey, teas, cinnamon, cloves, specialty liqueurs, vermouths, bitters, olives, and whatever else caught your eye. You move to the private class space at JarrBar, where instruction begins. A master bartender walks you through the Four Families of Cocktails (the foundation every great drink belongs to), and then you craft four signature cocktails, each one designed around Pike Place ingredients. You're making them yourself, not watching a demonstration. Each drink is sampled as part of the class, and paired foods come with them. Cocktail samples and all instruction are included.
