The experience

Four hours gets you two dives on the same outing. After a short boat ride to the first site, you descend with a certified guide who points out the coral formations, angelfish, parrotfish, moray eels and lobsters living in the reef. You surface, grab water and a snack, then the boat moves to the second site for another dive before heading back. The Newton Dive Special boat has an extra-long ladder for easy exit, an on-board restroom and two hot water showers: details that matter after spending hours in the water.

Tanks and weights are included. If you need other gear, rentals are available on the boat. Photographers have a dedicated two-level camera table and a separate rinse bucket for cameras and lights. The boat launches from the ocean side of Key Largo, which means you skip the long transit through the mangroves and spend your time actually diving instead of traveling. You must be a certified scuba diver and perform to your level of certification.
