Glacier Point's panoramic view of Half Dome and the valley floor, reached without the tour bus crowds

Weather or construction may close other stops, and international visitors may pay an additional park entrance fee at the destination.

The experience
Tunnel View opens the day with the valley laid out below you as you emerge from the tunnel. From there, the itinerary branches by what you want to see: a 1,000-foot walk down to Bridalveil Fall, the granite face of El Capitan where rock climbers scale the stone, or straight to Yosemite Falls for lunch. You choose the stops and how long to linger at each one.
Glacier Point sits at the top of the route when the road is open, usually late spring through fall, and the view spans Half Dome, the valley floor and the Merced River reflection in a single frame. It ranks among the most photographed vistas in Yosemite. The eight-hour loop gives you time to walk the falls, eat, and reach the high overlooks without the pace of a scheduled group tour.
Hotel pickup and drop-off bookend the day, and lunch arrives as your choice of turkey, vegetarian or combination sandwich, plus bottled water or a sports bottle to refill in the park. Small children travel in car seats or booster seats as required by California law. Parents provide the seats if needed. If Glacier Point is closed or weather forces a change, your guide will show you alternative sites instead.

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the walk like to Bridalveil Fall?
Bridalveil Fall sits 1,000 feet from the parking lot on a marked trail to the viewing spot. It's a moderate walk, and the waterfall is visible from the path even if you don't reach the very end.
Can I see El Capitan and Glacier Point on the same tour?
Yes. El Capitan is a stop in the valley where you can watch climbers on the granite face, and Glacier Point is the final major stop when the road is open. Both fit into the eight-hour day, though you choose how much time to spend at each one.
What happens if Glacier Point is closed when I visit?
Glacier Point closes from November through April due to snow and road conditions. If it's closed or weather blocks access, your guide will take you to alternative sites that showcase the park's best views instead.
Does the tour include lunch?
Yes. Lunch is included and you choose between a turkey sandwich, vegetarian sandwich, or combination sandwich (several meats). Bottled water and a refillable sports bottle are also provided.
How many people fit in the vehicle?
The SUV or van holds up to four guests at one set price, so your group travels together without adding per-person costs. You can choose between a standard SUV/sedan/van or upgrade to a premium SUV or deluxe van at checkout.
Is hotel pickup included?
Yes. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included in the tour price, so you don't need to arrange your own transport to the park entrance.
