You tour Dolmabahçe Palace's opulent rooms with a professional guide, then board a yacht for a 5-hour cruise along the Bosphorus. From the water you pass Rumeli Fortress, Beylerbeyi Palace, the Maiden's Tower, and both suspension bridges. Turkish refreshments and the guide's narration are included throughout.
Is this one for you?Book this if you want to see Istanbul's Ottoman palaces and the Bosphorus waterway in one outing without arranging separate transport, palace tickets, or timing the stops yourself—the fixed itinerary handles all three.
You start at Dolmabahçe Palace, the 19th-century residence where Ottoman Sultans once ruled from rooms of marble and crystal. A professional guide walks you through the lavish halls and intricate details—the architecture is the point, and the guide adds the history that makes it stick. After the palace, you head to the water.
The yacht departs from Viaport Marina and moves north along the Bosphorus, passing under the Bosphorus Bridge (opened in 1973, the first bridge to span the strait) and the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge. You see Rumeli Fortress on the European shore, built in 1453 in just three months by Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror, and Beylerbeyi Palace across the water on the Asian side—another Ottoman summer retreat with its own lily pond and gardens. The Maiden's Tower sits on a small island about 200 meters offshore, the subject of old legends and a distinctive landmark on the skyline.
The whole experience runs five hours. Along the way, the guide narrates what you're seeing—the fortresses, the palaces, the bridges, the neighborhoods like Ortaköy with its bazaar and waterfront cafes. You're not rushing; you're on a yacht, so the pace is slow enough to actually look. Cookies, baklava, Turkish tea, lemonade, fruit plates and water come with the ticket, so you're not hunting for refreshment between stops.
The Bosphorus itself is the strait that divides Istanbul into European and Asian sides, and seeing it from the water rather than from a shore road changes how it feels. You pass under two major bridges, see four palaces or fortresses, and get the kind of overview of the city's layout that walking alone would take days to piece together.
