The Experience

The day didn’t start as planned—my phone nearly slipped into the water while I was fumbling for a photo of the Galata Bridge. The stop on the Asian side—Beylerbeyi—wasn’t long, maybe an hour? But it felt like enough time to wander down quiet streets and peer up at Beylerbeyi Palace’s marble walls. I didn’t go inside (the line was longer than my patience), but just standing there with the bridge looming overhead was its own kind of story.
