The Experience

The first thing I noticed was the way the lights from Dolmabahce Palace shimmered across the Bosphorus — kind of like someone had scattered gold on the water. I caught myself watching the old couples dancing near Viaport Marina — they looked like they’d done this a hundred times before. By dessert, we were somewhere between two continents but it felt more like floating outside of time for a bit.
