The Experience

The evening starts with pickup around 7 pm from your Bodrum hotel. The drive north to Karnas Vineyards takes 35 minutes through Karaova farming lands, and you arrive with a glass of Karnas Rosé Zinfandel in hand. The vineyard owner leads the cellar tour, walking you through the grapes, the winemaking process and the history of the site—ancient Karia, where wine was made even in Roman times.

Dinner is four courses, each paired with a wine from the vineyard. The menu changes with what local farmers have brought in that day: a starter and a hot starter come first, then the main course. Everything served is grown in the area—local virgin olive oil, jams made from garden fruit, goat cheese. The wines include Karnas Shiraz, which won best Syrah in Turkey in 2017, and their Zinfandel, the only one produced in the country. Dessert arrives with a glass of homemade limoncello.

After dinner, the driver takes you back to your hotel. The whole evening—transport, the four-course meal, wine tasting and the cellar tour—is included in the price. If you want more than three glasses of wine, you can order extra bottles when you book.
