The experience

The boat leaves Bodrum harbor between 5 and 6:30 PM (the exact time depends on when you arrive), and heads out across the Aegean toward Aquarium Bay. The cruise takes about an hour, which gives you time to settle in, watch the light change on the water and get your bearings on the boat. Captain Yusuf handles everything: he navigates, he cooks, he keeps the experience moving at a pace that feels unhurried.

Once you reach Aquarium Bay, you drop anchor and stay for roughly 2 hours. This is when the day opens up. You can swim in the clear water, put on snorkeling gear and look around the bay, or cast a fishing rod if that appeals to you. Dinner happens here too: Captain Yusuf prepares it fresh on board while you're in the water or relaxing on deck. You pick fish, chicken or vegetarian when you book, and it comes with coffee or tea. Soft drinks and bottled water are there whenever you want them. The paddle board is available if you want to drift out a bit farther.

The return cruise takes another hour, and this is when the sunset actually happens. The boat is moving back toward Bodrum as the light drops and the sky changes color.
