The experience

The boat leaves Bodrum and heads to Aquarium Bay (or Small Aquarium if the wind shifts), where you drop anchor for the main part of the day. You get snorkeling equipment, a fishing rod if you want it, and roughly two hours to move between the water and the deck. Swim out to the reefs, snorkel the shallows, or cast a line. Paddleboards are there if you'd rather stay on the surface. The crew cooks dinner on board while you're in the bay, so when you're ready to eat, the meal is ready for you.

Dinner is served right there at anchor (fish, chicken, meatballs or vegetarian) with coffee or tea and bottled water included. You can bring wine, beer or spirits from outside. The boat doesn't sell alcohol. Soft drinks come complimentary. The yacht is private, so it's just your group, and the guide speaks English throughout. If you want to rent a Seabob (an electric underwater scooter) for extra speed and range in the water, that's available for an additional fee.

The whole experience runs three hours from departure to return. Infants can come along and sit on an adult's lap, and the boat works for all fitness levels. Public transport reaches the departure point, or you can arrange your own way to the dock.
