The experience

The day starts with pickup from your Phuket hotel and a drive to Royal Phuket Marina Pier, where you board a speedboat and head into Phang Nga Bay. The boat takes you first to Panak Island to explore caves (Diamond Cave, Bat Cave and I-Tim Cave), where limestone formations rise from the water and the air cools as you move deeper inside. From there, the route moves to Hong Island, where you get into a sea canoe and paddle into a quiet lagoon ringed by emerald cliffs, the water so still it mirrors the rock above.

Lunch happens on Panyee Island, a floating fishing village where the restaurant sits on the water and the meal is a buffet. After eating, the speedboat carries you to James Bond Island itself, Khao Ping Khan, the limestone stack that starred in "The Man With The Golden Gun" in 1974. You have time to walk the beach, photograph the formation and browse local crafts sold nearby. The final stop is Naka Noi Beach, where you can rest on the sand before the boat heads back to shore.
