The Experience

The day starts with pickup from your Phuket hotel at 7:30 and a transfer by air-conditioned minivan to Boat Lagoon Pier. The boat departs at 9:00 and reaches Phang Nga Bay by 10:00, where you get into a canoe for the first paddle through Hong Island's lagoon—a shallow, limestone-ringed waterway where the boat cannot follow. You'll explore the stalactite caves and the quiet water between the karst formations before returning to the main boat.

From there, the tour moves to James Bond Island for trekking and sightseeing around the limestone pinnacle, then heads to Panyee Island for a buffet lunch at a restaurant in the Muslim floating village. After lunch, you paddle again—this time into Mangrove Cave and Diamond Cave at Panak Island, where the canoe lets you drift through narrow passages and under rock overhangs. The guide paddles or you paddle yourself, depending on your preference and the water conditions.

The afternoon finishes with a swim and beach time at Naka Noi, a private island beach where you can rest before the boat returns to Boat Lagoon Pier by 4:00 p.m. and transfers you back to your hotel by 5:00 p.m. Soft drinks, fresh fruit and water are served on board throughout the day.
