The Experience

The speedboat picks you up from your hotel and heads to AA Marina Pier, where a guide briefs the group before departure. The boat takes you straight to Khai Nok Island first—a stretch of white sand where you swim in shallow, clear water and get your bearings in the Andaman. No snorkeling gear required yet; this is the warm-up stop where you can wade, float or just sit on the beach while others do the same.

Khai Nui Island is where the snorkeling happens. You'll drop in over colorful corals and schools of fish, with the guide in the water and the boat anchored nearby. The reef sits close to shore, so even a first-time snorkeler can see the marine life without fighting current or depth. After an hour or so in the water, you head to Khai Nai Island, the last stop, where you can feed cats on the sand, take photos and swim again if you want. The whole day moves at a pace that lets you rest between islands instead of rushing through a checklist.

Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, as are the snorkel mask, fins and life jacket. An English-speaking guide stays with the group the whole time. The boat is a speedboat, so the ride between islands is quick—no long, slow hauls that eat into your time in the water.
