The Experience
The day starts with hotel pickup between 9:45 and 10:55 AM from northern Koh Samui, then transport to the pier for an 11:00 AM departure aboard a traditional junk boat. The cruise heads toward Koh Phangan Island across open water, with time to settle on deck and take in the horizon before the midday stop.
At midday, a buffet lunch of five traditional Thai dishes is served onboard. After eating, you'll enter the water at Koh Ma Reef for snorkeling—the gear, towels and a guide are provided. The reef is the centerpiece of the day: you spend time in the water with the coral and fish rather than watching from the boat. Once back aboard, the journey continues to Thong Nai Pan, a beach on Koh Phangan where the boat anchors for the afternoon. Here you can rest on the sand, book a massage, or order tropical cocktails while the crew stays nearby.
Late afternoon brings the return sail to Koh Samui, timed so you're on deck as the sun sets over the water. Appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks are served during this leg.
