A full-day snorkeling trip from Koh Samui by speedboat to Koh Tao and Nang Yuan islands, with hotel pickup, English-speaking guide, snorkeling gear and Thai lunch included. The Experience

You're picked up from your Koh Samui hotel between 7:20 and 8:20am, depending on where you're staying — the service covers Lamai, Chaweng, Bangpor, Maenam, Bophut, Cheongmon and Bangrak. After checking in at the office and grabbing a light breakfast, you board the speedboat at 9am for the run north to Koh Tao. The boat arrives around 10am, and the snorkeling starts right away: you'll drop into Mamuang Bay, Hin Wong Bay and Sairee Bay over the next two hours, mask and fins already on, the guide pointing out where the coral is thickest and the fish are moving. The exact bays depend on weather and conditions that day.

Lunch happens on Tao Island itself at noon — a Thai buffet with seasonal fruit, soft drinks and water included. By 1pm you're back on the boat heading to Nang Yuan Island, the small island just offshore from Tao. This is where the day splits: some people stay on the beach and swim or snorkel in the shallows; others walk up the natural viewpoint at the island's highest point for the panoramic view and the photos. You get roughly two hours to do both if you want to. At 3pm the speedboat heads back to Bangrak pier on Koh Samui, arriving by mid-afternoon.

The tour includes snorkeling mask and life jacket, so you don't need to bring your own gear. Your guide speaks English and stays with the group throughout. The only cost not covered is the National Park fee — 250 baht per adult, 150 baht per child — which you pay when you arrive at Koh Tao. If you're staying outside the main pickup zones, an extra transfer charge of 700 baht per person each way applies.
