The Experience

The boat leaves at 8:30am after pickup from your hotel, heading to Mnemba Atoll Marine Reserve—the most famous snorkeling site in Zanzibar. The area holds an 85% chance of seeing dolphins. Midway through, the boat stops at a sandbank where you can rest, sunbathe and swim in calmer water. Mixed fruits and soft drinks come out here—a real break before heading back into deeper snorkel zones. On the return journey, you stop at a sea turtle sanctuary in a natural lagoon where you can swim alongside the turtles in their shallow habitat.
