Snorkeling in Marigot Bay: Private Sunset Cruise
Marigot Bay at golden hour, a snorkel site at dusk, and the boat back before dark
A private two-hour sunset cruise in Marigot Bay includes snorkeling at an optional reef site, hotel pickup and drop-off at selected docks, snorkel equipment, and drinks. The captain narrates the bay's history while you photograph the scenery, then the boat returns as the sun sets. Snorkeling is optional, so you choose whether to enter the water.
Step-by-step itinerary
Sunset cruise and snorkeling tour
- Meet captain and board boat
- Cruise to Marigot Bay
- Learn history of Marigot Bay
- Take photos in scenic bay
- Optional snorkeling near Cinderella shoe
- Cruise back during sunset
- Pass by Pigeon Island
The Experience
The boat leaves from your hotel dock (selected properties only) and heads down to Marigot Bay, where the captain walks you through the bay's history while you get the camera ready. The water here is calm and the light is still high enough to see the shoreline clearly. This is the part of the day built for photos—the bay is framed by steep green hills, and the setting gives you time to move around the boat without rushing.
Snorkeling happens at an optional stop near a rock formation called the Cinderella Shoe. If you choose to go in, the boat provides all the equipment you need. The reef site is shallow enough to see the bottom, and you can stay in as long as you want or skip it entirely and stay aboard. Either way, the boat turns back toward the meeting point as the sun drops, so you're watching the light change from the water or the deck the whole way home.
Drinks are included throughout—water, soft drinks, rum punch, Piton beer and ginger ale. The whole outing runs two hours, which means you're back before full dark. Hotel drop-off is at the same dock you left from.
What’s included
- Hotel pickup and drop-off at selected properties with docks.
