Snorkeling in St Lucia: two reef sites with lunch
Glide through vibrant coral gardens and savor a fresh buffet at sea
Snorkel two prime coral reef sites in St Lucia aboard a spacious boat departing from Marigot Bay, with a local guide leading the sessions and all equipment provided. The boat anchors at each site so you enter and exit the water at your own pace. Hotel or port pickup is included from Northern and Western island locations, and a full buffet lunch is served on board between snorkel stops. Minimum age is 4 years; swimmers should have basic comfort in the water.
The Experience
The boat leaves Marigot Bay and heads to two snorkeling sites over reefs teeming with tropical fish. You'll have guided snorkel sessions at each stop, with training in equipment use available if you need it. Because the boat anchors rather than drifting, you control when you enter the water and how long you stay down — there's no rush to keep pace with the group. The reefs here are rated among the Caribbean's least explored, so the coral and fish diversity tend to surprise even experienced snorkelers.
Between the two sites, you'll eat a full buffet lunch on board. Water and juices are available throughout the day. The boat has restrooms and is spacious enough that the morning doesn't feel crowded even with a small group. The staff are described as knowledgeable and fun-loving, and the ride itself along the coastline is part of the day — not just transport to get somewhere else.
Pickup is included from hotels and ports on the Northern and Western sides of the island; Southern locations (Soufriere, Vieux Fort, Micoud and Dennery) are not covered. Cruise ship passengers need to provide their ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time at booking so the return timing works. The tour shares the boat with scuba divers, so you'll be in the water alongside people doing deeper dives — the boat is large enough that this doesn't create crowding at the surface.

What are the two snorkeling sites like in St Lucia?
The two sites are coral reefs teeming with tropical fish. St Lucia's reefs are rated among the Caribbean's least explored underwater secrets, so the coral diversity and fish life tend to be richer than in heavily visited snorkeling destinations. The boat anchors at each site so you can enter and exit the water at your own pace rather than following a timed group rhythm.
Do I need snorkeling experience to book this?
No. Training in equipment use is available, and the guide leads the sessions. You do need basic comfort in the water — the boat anchors so guests should have a general knowledge of swimming — but you don't need prior snorkeling experience.
Is pickup from my hotel included?
Pickup is included from hotels and ports on the Northern and Western sides of St Lucia. Southern locations (Soufriere, Vieux Fort, Micoud and Dennery) are not covered by the standard pickup; check your hotel location before booking.
What's included in the lunch?
A full buffet lunch is served on board between the two snorkel stops. Water and juices are available throughout the day. The meal is eaten on the boat between sites, so there's no separate restaurant stop.
Can children go snorkeling on this tour?
Children can join from age 4 and must be accompanied by an adult. The boat is spacious and the pace is relaxed, so younger swimmers can take their time at each site without pressure to keep up.
How long is the whole experience?
The tour runs 5 hours total, including pickup, the boat ride to the first site, both snorkel sessions, lunch, and the return to your hotel or port. The exact timing depends on traffic during pickup and drop-off.
