The experience

The day starts with transport to the Castries Waterworks Reserve, a national forest at the island's center. Once there, you'll move through three distinct experiences without backtracking or waiting between them. The sequence lets you build from one perspective to the next (ground level first, then the canopy from above, then the speed and height of the zipline), so each one lands differently than it would alone.

The aerial tram carries you high into the treetops on a fixed cable, giving you time to spot monkeys, parrots, and hummingbirds in their habitat without the rush of the zipline. Then you move to the zipline course: nine platforms connected by eight lines that take you through the canopy at speed. A certified zip line sweeper stays with your group of up to eight to manage safety and pacing, so you're not managing equipment alone. The course is designed so each line builds on the last: speed, height, and confidence compound as you move through.

The hike comes last, when your legs have done the work and your eyes have adjusted to the canopy. A naturalist guide walks the forest floor with you, pointing out the plants and animals that make the reserve what it is. You'll understand the ecosystem from inside it, not from a distance. The whole package (entrance, guides, tram, zipline, and hike) runs about five hours. If you're arriving by cruise ship, roundtrip transport from the port is included for arrivals before 9 am. Hotel guests get pickup from their lobby with a five-minute grace window. Hiking shoes are mandatory. The operator enforces weight and waist limits for safety on the zipline (maximum 170 kg / 350 lbs, maximum hip/waist 127 cm / 50").
