The experience

Three hours from pickup to drop-off. The operator collects you from your accommodation in southern Tenerife and drives 30 minutes to Los Cristianos, where one of the island's most accessible dive sites sits in clear Atlantic water. You arrive, meet your certified instructor, and spend the next 30–40 minutes on the surface learning how to use the equipment, what to expect below, and how to stay safe. No rushing, no group briefing. It's just you and your guide.

Then you descend for 30 minutes of actual diving. A certified PADI instructor stays with you the entire time, watching your breathing and movement, pointing out rays and other marine life, and making sure you're comfortable at depth. The water is warm enough that a wetsuit keeps you warm without bulk. A camera operator or your instructor captures underwater photos and videos throughout. Those images are yours at no extra cost, which most dive operators charge separately for.

After you surface and catch your breath, you review what you saw and how it felt. The drive back to your hotel takes another 30 minutes. What you bring: a swimsuit, a towel, water to drink, and willingness to try something new. You don't need to be a swimmer: being comfortable in water helps, but the instructor's job is to keep you safe and relaxed, not to test your skills.

How does pickup work?

The operator picks you up from your hotel or accommodation in the southern Tenerife area and drops you back after the dive: no need to arrange your own transport to the dive site.
