Sea Trek Underwater Walk in Tenerife: Walk the Ocean Floor Dry
Seabed walk with helmet breathing among colorful fish and volcanic sand for 20-25 minutes
Sea Trek is an underwater walk in Tenerife where you descend a few meters into calm, clear water and walk the ocean floor wearing a helmet that keeps your head completely dry and supplies fresh air. No swimming, diving or prior experience is required — if you can walk, you can Sea Trek. A guide stays with you throughout, and underwater photos are included so you can take the moment home.
The Experience
Los Cristianos is where this activity happens, and it starts on the beach with a short safety briefing from your instructor. They explain how the helmet works, what to expect underwater, and answer any questions before you enter the water. The whole setup takes the mystery out of it — you're not learning to dive or holding your breath, just walking into a protected area a few meters deep where the visibility is clear and the seafloor is calm.
Once underwater, you spend 20 to 25 minutes walking a specially designed route. The helmet delivers fresh air continuously, so you breathe normally the whole time. Your head stays completely dry inside it, and the 180-degree view means you're watching colorful fish swim past, volcanic sand beneath your feet, and rocks around you — the same way you'd walk through a landscape on land, except you're weightless and moving slowly. Your guide stays right there with you, making sure you're comfortable and pointing out what's around you.
The whole experience runs about 90 minutes from start to finish. You get a wetsuit and Crocs to wear, a locker for your belongings, and the helmet and all the equipment that goes with it. At the end, the guide captures underwater photos and videos so you have proof of what you just did — and something to show people who will not believe you walked on the ocean floor without getting your head wet.

Can I do Sea Trek if I can't swim?
Yes. Sea Trek requires no swimming ability at all. You walk on the ocean floor in a protected, shallow area, and the helmet supplies fresh air so you breathe normally. If you can walk on land, you can Sea Trek.
How deep do you go on this underwater walk in Tenerife?
You descend just a few meters into a calm, protected area with clear visibility. The depth is shallow enough that your guide stays beside you the entire time, and the seafloor is stable and easy to walk on.
What happens if I feel uncomfortable underwater?
Your guide is with you at all times and trained to keep you safe and comfortable. If you need to surface or stop, you simply signal your instructor and return to the beach — there is no pressure to stay down or complete a set time.
Are the underwater photos included in the price?
Yes. The guide captures photos and videos during your walk, and they are included so you can take home memories of the experience and share them with others.
What age can children start Sea Trek?
Children are welcome from age 8 and up. The activity is designed for all ages and fitness levels, and younger children can be supervised closely by the guide throughout the walk.
Do I need to arrange my own way to the beach, or is pickup included?
You can choose your option at checkout — some include hotel pickup and drop-off, while others are meeting-point only at Los Cristianos. Public transportation is also available nearby if you prefer to travel independently.
