Snorkeling in Lanzarote: Atlantic fish with a marine guide
Learn the Atlantic's fish while you float, with a guide who knows where they gather
Guided snorkeling in Lanzarote with a live instructor covering fish identification, marine life interaction, ocean conservation and proper gear use. The 90-minute session includes wetsuit, mask, fins and a waterproof fish guide you carry in the water; pickup is included and children from age 6 can join. Photos of your snorkel are available for an extra charge.
The Experience
You start with a briefing on the Atlantic's fish — their names, habitats and behavior — plus how to interact with marine life without disturbing it, how to use the snorkelling gear correctly, and entry and exit procedures. Then you're in the water with a wetsuit, mask, fins and a small waterproof book showing drawings and descriptions of every fish you'll see, so you can identify them instantly as they pass. The guide stays with you to point out what's around and make sure you're comfortable the whole time.
The Atlantic off Lanzarote holds a variety of fish and sea sponges most snorkelers don't know how to spot on their own. A guide who knows the water means you see more, understand what you're looking at, and learn why the ecosystem matters. You'll also carry a small bag in case you want to pick up trash — something the guide explains as part of the conservation briefing at the start.
Pickup is included, so you don't need to arrange transport to the water. The session runs 90 minutes total. A live guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian, French or another language depending on your group. If you want photos of yourself snorkeling, the operator offers them for 10 euros after the activity ends.
