A two-hour stand up paddle and snorkeling lesson in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote, where an instructor teaches you the board first, then you stop to snorkel and watch the marine life below. The experience

Playa Blanca is where you meet the instructor, who walks you through the basics of stand up paddle before you get on the board. The first part of the two hours is on the water learning balance and paddle technique. It's built for beginners, so the pace stays manageable whether you're alone or with friends and family. Once you're steady on the board, you paddle out to a spot where the water is clear enough to see down.

The snorkeling half happens at a stop where you slip into the water with the mask and fins the instructor brings. Small amberjacks, barracudas and sardines are the regular sightings. On good days an octopus shows up. You're not hunting or diving deep. You're floating at the surface watching what moves below, which is why the activity works for all levels and ages. The instructor stays with you the whole time.

Bottled water is included, and so is a photo from the session. Public transportation runs near Playa Blanca if you're not driving, and pickup is arranged when you book. The guide speaks your language (English, Spanish, Italian or French), so instruction and safety briefing are clear from the start.
