The experience

The tour starts with pickup in Seoul and moves through the city with a driver and guide. You'll pass the Blue House, the official residence of South Korea's head of state, then walk through Gyeongbokgung Palace with your guide to learn about Korean history and see the traditional architecture. The palace closes on Tuesdays, so Changdeok Palace is offered as a substitute on those days.

From there, the National Folk Museum shows how people lived in Korea from ancient times forward: the kind of detail that fills in what the palace buildings alone don't tell you. The final stop is Namsan Seoul Tower, built in 1969 and now a landmark that draws locals and visitors alike. The tower has a digital observatory, a roof terrace and restaurants, plus digital art projections at night. Since this is a private tour, you can ask your guide to skip a stop or add another Seoul attraction instead if something else interests you more.

Transportation and a guide are included. Admission to each site is not, so bring cash or a card. The tour runs 4 hours and works for groups of one to fifteen people. Infants can sit on a lap or ride in a stroller, and the pace suits all fitness levels.
