The Experience
You meet the driver about 10 minutes before the tour starts to confirm the route and make any adjustments based on what the group wants to see. The taxi holds up to 12 people, though smaller groups are available, and pickup happens at your hotel, airport, or any location on Jeju Island with no extra charge. The driver has foreign tour experience and speaks simple English; if your group is 13 or more, a licensed English-speaking guide joins instead. Parking and fuel are covered, and all taxis carry transportation insurance.
Jeongbang Waterfall is the only waterfall in Asia that falls directly into the sea, with rocks carved by centuries of water and a shallow pool where you can wade. The walk down is easy but climbing back up is steep. From there you move to Yongmeori Coast, where lava that flowed into the sea hardened into cliffs 30 to 50 meters high shaped like a dragon's head — the name means exactly that. The columnar joints nearby are hexagonal stone pillars stacked like a natural staircase, formed when thick lava cooled and cracked. Waves crash against them and can spray 20 meters high on rough days. You'll also pass Oedolgae Rock, a solitary stone formation with a legend about a woman who waited decades for her husband to return from the sea.
Mid-tour you stop at O'Sulloc Tea Museum, set in a green tea field where you can rest and have tea. The museum opened in 2001 and holds tea-related items from Korea and abroad; many people spend time here meditating or taking photographs in the fields. Lunch is discussed with the driver and arranged at a restaurant of your choice within 5km of the museum — you decide what and where to eat. The tour ends on the Sinchang Coastal Road along the western coast, where white windmills line the winding road and the sea is emerald green. This is one of Jeju's best sunset spots, and you have time to walk, photograph, and watch the light change over the water before heading back to your starting point.

What is Jeongbang Waterfall like when you get there?
Jeongbang Waterfall is the only waterfall in Asia that falls from land directly into the sea, with shallow water where you can wade and rocks carved by centuries of flow. The descent is manageable but the climb back up is steep, and the rocks underfoot need careful footing. On clear days with rain, rainbows form and make the waterfall even more striking.
Can I choose which attractions to visit on this tour?
Yes. Before the tour departs, you meet with the driver to confirm the route and make adjustments based on what everyone in your group wants to see. You can add or exclude attractions once all participants have given their input.
What's included in the price?
Hotel or airport pickup and drop-off, all transport, parking, fuel, and the English-speaking driver are included. Lunch is arranged with the driver at a restaurant you choose, but food and drinks are your own cost.
How long does the tour take?
The tour runs eight and a half hours from pickup to drop-off, covering the south and west coast with stops at Jeongbang Waterfall, Yongmeori Coast, the columnar joints, O'Sulloc Tea Museum, and the Sinchang Coastal Road.
What is the Sinchang Coastal Road?
The Sinchang Coastal Road runs along the western end of Jeju Island and is lined with white offshore windmills. It's known as one of Jeju's best sunset spots, with an emerald-green sea and a walking path through the Ecology Experience Center nearby.
Is this tour suitable for families with young children?
Yes. Children from age 1 are welcome, and infants can sit on an adult's lap or ride in a stroller. The tour includes rest time at the tea museum and stops where you can walk at your own pace, though some sites like Jeongbang Waterfall have steep climbs and rocky terrain.
