The experience
Day one starts at 09:00 from your hotel or airport with a climb up the Eoseungsaengak course to see Hallasan Mountain, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, from the peak. The route then moves to Seongsan Ilchulbong, a crown-shaped volcanic crater rising from the coast, where you photograph the panoramic view before descending. The driver speaks basic English and has years of experience with foreign visitors, so the pace and stops adjust to what you want to see and photograph.
Day two centers on Jeongbang Waterfall, a smaller cascade that flows directly into the sea, and the columnar basalt formations at Yongmeori and Sanbangsan Mountain, where the lava cooled into hexagonal shapes. You'll have a tea break at Osulloc and can visit the Haenyeo Museum (the diving women of Jeju) or Jeju Stone Culture Park, where locals traditionally stack stones on the beach to make wishes for health and business success. You can add your own. The driver will recommend lunch spots and adjust the itinerary if you want to add or skip any site.
The vehicle is air-conditioned, registered with the South Korean taxi authority and covered by transportation insurance. Parking fees and fuel are included in the price. If you're traveling solo, as a couple, or in a small group, the operator offers different vehicle sizes at checkout. Pick the one that fits your party size. The tour ends with drop-off at your original departure point: hotel, airport or port.
