Step-by-step itinerary

Zipline adventure at Toro Verde

  • Arrive at Toro Verde park
  • Meet guide for safety briefing
  • Get fitted with zipline equipment
  • Experience eight dual-line ziplines
  • Enjoy mountain views of Puerto Rico

The Experience

The day starts with pickup from your hotel and a drive to Toro Verde in Orocovis. Once there, you meet your guide for a safety briefing and equipment fitting—harness, helmet and the rest of the gear that keeps you anchored to the cable. After the training, you move through the park on foot between platforms, clipping in and releasing on each of the eight ziplines. The speed you pick up depends on wind and the angle of the cable; each line has an arrival platform where you slow and step off before walking to the next one.

The tour includes The Monster, a signature zipline at the park. The cables run across the mountain ridges, so the views open up as you move through the course—you're looking out over the Puerto Rico landscape the whole time, not down at a valley floor. The walking between lines is short, and the pace is set by the group, so you're not racing or waiting around. Close-toed shoes are required, and the minimum height is 4 feet 7 inches; the maximum weight to participate is 270 pounds.

Your tickets are valid anytime during the park's opening hours, so you can move through the course at the pace that suits your group. The guide handles the safety checks and the logistics of moving between platforms, which means you focus on the ride itself and the view.
