The Experience

We hopped into the tuk tuk just outside our hotel—no hunting for meeting points, which was honestly a relief after a week of getting lost in Lisbon’s hills. I still think about that moment at São Pedro de Alcântara Viewpoint: sunlight slanting across tiled benches, some street musician playing something slow on guitar, people just sitting quietly together looking out over everything they call home. I guess that’s what stuck with me—the sense that Lisbon isn’t just pretty buildings or history lessons but all these small lives happening around you while you pass through on your half-day tuk tuk tour.
