The experience

The tour starts with pickup from your hotel or the train station in Aguas Calientes at your chosen time. From there, you head to the bus station and take the shuttle up to the main entrance of Machu Picchu. Before entering the citadel, there's time to use the facilities. Then the guided tour begins, lasting between two hours and two hours and thirty minutes depending on which circuit your ticket covers and whether you've added a mountain option.

The visit moves slowly and deliberately, built around photography and learning. The guide walks you through the citadel, explaining the Inca history and the secrets of the site, answering your questions as you go. You'll visit all the stops within your chosen circuit, whether that's circuit 1, 2, or 3, each with its own letter options (A, B, C, D depending on the circuit). If your ticket includes a mountain, the guide gives you recommendations on how to approach it.

Once the guided portion ends, you stay inside the citadel to explore parts of Machu Picchu on your own. The guide is available for 24-hour assistance via WhatsApp if you need help before or after the tour. The guide speaks English, Spanish, or Portuguese depending on your preference.
