The experience
You start from your hotel in Nazca and head south on the Pan-American Highway toward a natural hill where the first geoglyphs come into view: intersecting lines and geometric figures that spread across the valley floor. From there, the tour moves to the Maria Reiche metallic viewpoint, where you can see the Hand, the Tree, and the Lizard geoglyph. The route is built around small hikes between stops, so you're not sitting in a vehicle the whole time. You're standing at different elevations looking down at the same ancient patterns from multiple angles.
The Llipata sector on the hill shows smaller zoomorphic and anthropomorphic figures before you reach the Mirador Tower for the Royal Family geoglyph. The tour ends at a natural viewpoint overlooking the Orca, then returns you to Nazca. Your guide speaks English or Spanish and travels with the group throughout. All viewpoint entry tickets are included, and the tour runs about 3.5 hours total.
The Maria Reiche House Museum (where the researcher who spent her life documenting and protecting the Lines lived) sits in the nearby town of El Ingenio and is optional. If you want to add it, you can arrange that stop during the tour, though entry is separate from the main package.
What’s included
- Hotel pickup and drop-off in Nazca.
- entry tickets to all viewpoint towers.
- a vehicle with driver guide.
- a live guide in English or Spanish.
