Step-by-step itinerary
Panama Bay yacht cruise and fishing
- Depart from Flamenco Marina
- Cruise alongside Panama Canal ships
- View Panama City skyline and Bridge of the Americas
- Fish with provided gear and crew assistance
- Enjoy snacks, drinks, and music onboard
- Return to marina after cruise
The experience
The boat leaves Flamenco Marina and heads into Panama Bay, where you'll see container ships anchored in the Canal's designated route and watch them cross under the Bridge of the Americas. Your bilingual captain explains how the Canal's system works as you cruise past the anchorage area. The yacht's flybridge and large bow give you unobstructed views of the Panama City skyline, and depending on which departure time you choose, you'll either catch the afternoon sun or the golden hour over the water.
Light fishing happens throughout the cruise, and the captain and deckhand handle the setup and assist you whether you're experienced or picking up a rod for the first time. The bay holds Spanish mackerel, snapper, mahi mahi, yellowfin tuna, and bonito year-round. All fishing gear is included. The yacht has air-conditioning, cabins, bathrooms, and a sound system, so there's room to move between fishing, socializing, and just watching the water. Bottled water, juices, Gatorade, and beer come onboard.
You choose between a 2-hour sunset cruise or a 4-hour daytime tour. Both routes stay in the same waters but give you different light and pacing. The crew tailors the experience to your group's mood, whether that's fishing focus, sightseeing, or a mix. Hotel pickup and drop-off can be arranged for an additional $20 per person.

Live guide in English and Spanish.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the difference between the 2-hour and 4-hour options?
The 2-hour sunset cruise departs in the late afternoon and focuses on the golden-hour views over the Panama City skyline, while the 4-hour daytime tour gives you more time to fish and explore the Canal anchorage area in full daylight. Both follow the same route through Panama Bay.
Can I fish if I've never done it before?
Yes. All fishing gear is included and the captain and deckhand will assist you and teach you as you go, regardless of your experience level. The bay has several species available year-round.
What do I see of the Panama Canal from the yacht?
