The Experience
The tour starts with hotel pickup in central Auckland, where your guide meets you and drives toward the waterfront to frame the city's most recognizable landmark — the Harbour Bridge — before heading to Mission Bay, one of the city's popular coastal suburbs with white sandy beaches close to the city centre. From there the route climbs to the volcanic summits that shape Auckland's geography: Michael Joseph Savage Memorial Park offers views across the city and a chance to learn about the Maori history of the site, then One Tree Hill (Maungakiekie), another volcanic cone, gives 360-degree views of the surrounding region.
