The Experience
The tour starts with a drive through the California neighborhood and up Jebel el Kabir, the mountain where the royal palace and governor's residence sit, before reaching Cape Spartel. There you stand at the point where the Mediterranean and Atlantic meet, with time to rest and take in the view. From there you move to the Hercules Cave—a 2,500-year-old site tied to the myth of Hercules picking the golden apple—where entrance is covered and a camel ride on the Atlantic beach is part of the day.
The afternoon shifts to Tangier's interior. You'll visit the Art and Historic Museum, a 17th-century space, then St. Andrew's Church, an Anglican chapel completed in 1894 with its interior done in high Fassi style and the Lord's Prayer inscribed in Arabic above the altar. The Grand Socco comes next—a sprawling plaza where you walk the narrow streets, visit the Mendoubia garden, and browse the farmer markets stacked with fruits, vegetables and spices. The Petit Socco, smaller and more intimate, closes out the cultural stops.
Your guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian, French or another language, and the air-conditioned vehicle is yours alone for the full day. Pickup is included, and a welcome drink arrives at the start. The route is wheelchair accessible throughout, and the vehicle itself accommodates wheelchairs and specialized infant seats if needed.

The camel ride on the Atlantic beach at Hercules Cave is included in the tour price, along with the cave entrance fee.
What are the Grand Socco and Petit Socco?
The Grand Socco is a large, busy plaza in Tangier's Medina where you'll walk narrow streets, visit the Mendoubia garden, and explore farmer markets selling fresh produce and spices. The Petit Socco is a smaller, quieter plaza nearby that rounds out the day's stops.
How long does the tour actually take?
The tour runs between 6 and 8 hours, depending on how much time you spend at each stop and how the day flows with your guide.
