The Experience

The first thing I remember is the dust — not in a bad way, but in that sunlit, golden kind of way. We were just outside Puerto Vallarta, helmets already making us look braver than we felt, and the guide (Miguel, who knew every bump in the road) grinned as he handed over the keys. The engine’s rumble felt weirdly comforting.
