A one-tank guided shore dive in Cozumel led by a PADI Divemaster, departing directly from the beach to a maximum depth of 35 feet. The dive takes 90 minutes and includes all scuba equipment. You'll explore shallow coral formations and spot moray eels, Caribbean squid, lobsters and tropical fish in a single dive. Children from age 10 are welcome; guides speak English and Spanish.
The Experience
One tank, 90 minutes, straight from the beach — no boat ride, no waiting at the dock. You walk into the water off Cozumel's shore and descend to 35 feet where the shallow reefs hold the marine life the island is known for. The depth is shallow enough that newly certified divers can stay down longer, and experienced divers can move through the formations without the rush of a deeper dive. A PADI Divemaster leads the group and points out the animals most divers miss on their own: moray eels threading through rock crevices, Caribbean squid moving in synchronized patterns, lobsters tucked into hiding spots, and the constant traffic of tropical fish through the coral.
The shore entry means you spend less time gearing up at a dock and more time actually underwater. If you're on a tight schedule or want to fit in a second dive without the full-day commitment, this is how you do it. If you're traveling with someone taking a Discover Scuba course, this dive lets you both get in the water at the same time and compare what you saw afterward. All equipment is included, so you arrive with just your certification card and your dive log.
