A two-tank scuba dive in Cozumel with certified guide, boat transport and lunch included. The morning dive takes you through the Palancar reef area's famous coral tunnels at 60–80 feet; after a surface break with food, the second dive explores a brighter, shallower reef where sea turtles, nurse sharks and tropical fish are common. Groups stay under six divers. The trip runs 4–5 hours total, with 30–45 minutes travel time to the reef. Children from age 10 are welcome; guides speak English and Spanish.

The Experience

You'll arrive at the dive shop, get fitted with a wetsuit (shorty or full-length options), fins and tanks, then fill out your paperwork and board the boat. The ride out takes 30 to 45 minutes. The first dive happens on the south side of the island in the Palancar reef area, where the coral walls and tunnels are what make this site known — you'll descend to 60–80 feet on a multilevel dive that stretches your air and lets you move through formations you won't see anywhere else. The whole first dive runs about an hour.

Back on the boat, you get a surface interval of about an hour with a small lunch and water. The second dive is shallower and stays around an hour as well. Here the coral is brighter and the marine life more visible — sea turtles, nurse sharks, moray eels, stingrays and the endemic splendid toadfish move through the reef. The boats are fast and comfortable, and the guides are certified instructors and divemasters with years of experience. The whole outing, from arrival to return, takes 4–5 hours.

The price covers tanks, weights and marine park fees. Morning departures run daily. Small groups of six divers mean you're not crowded on the boat or at the reef.
