The Experience

I’ll admit, I stalled the buggy right outside the hotel — not my smoothest start. Our guide, Martín, just grinned and said, “Don’t worry, everyone does that.” The air smelled like salt and sunscreen as we set off through Cozumel’s streets. It was just us — no big group or walkie-talkie instructions — which felt weirdly freeing.
