The Experience
The day starts at Playa Uvas, a beach club where you arrive to a welcome drink—daiquiri, margarita, beer or bottled water, your choice. Your guide then takes you straight into the water for 30 minutes of snorkeling from the shore, where you'll see tropical fish and corals without needing a boat. The beach club stays open to you between the water time and the buggy portion, so you can dry off and use the amenities before the second half begins.
You board a shared buggy for a tour along Cozumel's coast, stopping at beautiful beaches and at Aldea Maya, a themed site where you'll taste organic chocolate and artisanal tequila while learning about Mayan culture. The buggy then returns you to your cruise port. Non-alcoholic drinks are provided during the excursion; food and additional drinks at Playa Uvas cost extra.
The guide speaks both English and Spanish throughout. Infants sit on an adult's lap. The activity is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health, or pregnancy.
