The experience
The day starts with a camel ride from the ranch along Migriño Beach on the Pacific side, moving through desert scrub and wildflower fields (in season) to see the mountain ranges and ecosystems that frame the Baja landscape. Once that ride ends, you move to the vehicles: you choose between a single ATV or a Side by Side (one per two people), and you drive it yourself through the mountains toward the white sand dunes of Migriño Beach and the ocean-side cliffs beyond. This is not a guided route where someone else operates the machine. You control the vehicle across the terrain.
The activity wraps with a tequila tasting back at the ranch. A professional photographer documents the day and makes prints available for purchase afterward. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included in the price, though pickup happens 45 to 70 minutes before the tour start time depending on where you're staying. The group is shared, so delays can occur during transportation, especially during traffic hours. If that matters to you, private transportation can be arranged at checkout.
A few logistics: single riders get a single ATV. Pairs share a Side by Side or ride together on one ATV. Semi-automatic ATVs are included. Fully automatic upgrades cost extra at check-in. Cellphones and cameras stay behind for safety reasons: the tour photographer covers that. Riders must be at least 3 feet 11 inches tall for the ATV. Camel riders need to be at least 3 feet 3 inches. A weight limit of 274 lbs per person applies. Children from age 4 can join.

What's the difference between a Side by Side and an ATV on this ride?
A Side by Side seats two people side by side in an enclosed cab. An ATV is a single-rider machine. If you book as a pair, you get one Side by Side between you. If you book alone, you ride a single ATV. Pairs can also choose to share a single ATV if you prefer.
Can I bring my phone or camera to take my own photos?

How much time do I actually spend driving the ATV versus riding the camel?
The camel ride covers the beach and desert sections at the start. The ATV portion takes you through the mountains to the dunes and cliffs. The whole activity is three hours from start to finish, including the tequila tasting at the end.
What happens if I'm the only person booking this activity?
Solo riders operate a single ATV for the entire drive portion. You'll still join the shared camel ride at the start and the tequila tasting at the end with other guests.
Is the admission fee included in the price I see?
No, there is a separate admission fee of $25 USD per person charged at the location. Hotel pickup, the camel ride, ATV rental, the photographer and tequila tasting are included in the tour price.
