The Experience

The day starts with pickup from your hotel and a scenic drive along the Pacific coastline toward the hidden ranch. During winter months, watch for humpback whales breaching in the deep blue water as you travel. You'll arrive at the Sacred Ranch, a secluded oceanfront property where the camel ride and lunch happen side by side.

At the ranch, you mount a camel and ride along the private beach with the ocean on one side and desert on the other. A professional bilingual guide joins the group and leads a nature walk through the landscape, pointing out Mexico's unique flora and fauna as you move through the terrain. Cameras stay stowed during the ride itself — a safety measure for both you and the animals. The maximum weight to ride is 265 pounds, and a safety helmet is required.

After the camel experience, you sit down to an unlimited Mexican buffet served oceanfront, with views across the Sea of Cortez. The spread includes homemade quesadillas, freshly prepared salsas, and a range of local dishes; vegetarian options are available.
