The experience
The boat leaves from Amalfi and heads to Capri's coast, where you'll stop at a sequence of sea caves and rock formations. The Green Grotto has stalactites and emerald-lit waters you can swim in. The White Grotto and Red Grotto follow, each with their own mineral-stained walls and clear water. You'll pass the Faraglioni (four stacked rock formations that rise from the sea), and pause there for photos. The Saints Grotto, with stalactites shaped like praying figures, comes next. A skipper and live guide narrate the route and the island's history and legends as you move between stops.
Midway through the tour, the boat anchors at Punta Ventroso for a break. You'll have an aperitif on board with mixed appetizers, brunch featuring local specialties, and drinks including prosecco and limoncello. Those who want to swim closer to shore can do so a few meters away. The yacht itself has a bathroom, changing cabins, and charging stations for devices.
After the boat portion, you disembark in Capri town for around 4 hours of free time. You can reach the center by funicular in minutes, shop in the boutiques, eat at local restaurants, or visit attractions on your own. A brochure provided on board helps you navigate. The Blue Grotto, the island's most famous sea cave, is accessible by land during this time if you choose to visit it. The tour does not include entry there, but directions and a map are supplied. The return to Amalfi is included.
