The experience
The boat leaves at 10am and heads straight for Capri's coastline. Along the way you'll pass the White Cave and Green Cave, each one distinctive for its mineral-tinted water and the way light enters from underwater openings. The skipper knows the approach to each and can explain what you're seeing as the boat moves slowly enough to take it in. Snorkelling equipment is on board if you want to go in the water at any point during the day.
The Faraglioni (three towering rock formations that rise from the sea off Capri's eastern edge) is the main stop for swimming. You can jump in here if you want, or stay on deck. The Blue Grotto, famous for its electric blue water, requires a separate ticket and a transfer to a smaller rowboat at the entrance. The skipper can arrange this if you decide once you're there. Lunch at the restaurant in Marina Piccola is optional and paid separately.
You'll have time ashore in Capri town from roughly midday onward (enough to walk, eat, or just sit) before heading back to the boat at 4pm for the return journey. The boat carries still and sparkling water, soft drinks, beer, Prosecco, snacks and towels. A disembarkation fee applies when you leave the port in Capri.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Italian.
What are the White Cave and Green Cave like when you get there?
The White Cave and Green Cave are sea caves carved into Capri's cliffs, each named for the color the water takes on inside. The boat approaches close enough to see into them. The skipper points out the geological details and the way light filters through. You view them from the boat rather than entering.
Can you swim at the Faraglioni?
Yes. The Faraglioni stop is set up for swimming. You can jump in from the boat if you want to, or stay aboard. Snorkelling equipment is included, so you can go under the water as well.
Is the Blue Grotto included in the tour?
The Blue Grotto is optional and costs an extra €18 per person. The skipper can take you there if you decide to add it once the tour is underway. Entry involves transferring to a smaller rowboat at the cave entrance.
How much time do you have to explore Capri town itself?
You disembark in Capri around midday and have until 4pm to walk around, have lunch, or explore on your own before returning to the boat for the journey back to the Amalfi Coast.
What's included to eat and drink during the day?
Still and sparkling water, soft drinks, beer and Prosecco are included, along with snacks like chips, taralli and sandwiches. Lunch at the Marina Piccola restaurant is optional and paid separately.
