The experience
Eight hours means the boat leaves early and you're back by late afternoon. The route starts from whichever port suits you (Salerno, Vietri sul Mare, Maiori or Minori), and heads out past Li Galli, the group of private islands Homer called home to mermaids. You'll cross into the Gulf of Naples at a promontory crowned by a Saracen tower, a sacred site in Greek and Roman times. The skipper shares the history as you go.
Once at Capri, the boat circles the island's sea face. You'll pass under the Salto di Tiberio cliff and into the White Grotto, where limestone formations rise like natural sculptures. The Faraglioni (three stone pillars that are Capri's symbol) come next, and this is where you stop to swim in the deep water around them. Later, Marina Piccola, the island's most exclusive bay, is where the crew serves a prosecco aperitif with snacks while you swim and snorkel again. Snorkeling gear is on board. The Blue Grotto is optional and costs extra, paid in cash on the spot. It's also subject to sea conditions and local boat queues. After Marina Piccola, you pass the lighthouse at the southwestern tip (red and white striped, one of Italy's oldest), before the boat docks at Capri's port.
The afternoon is yours. You can take the funicular up to the Piazzetta and wander the shopping streets, visit Anacapri, or sit in the Gardens of Augustus. There's no guide herding you through. The crew stays on the boat, ready if you need anything. The return journey is timed so you're back at your starting port by evening.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Italian.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What is the Blue Grotto and why is it optional?
The Blue Grotto is a sea cave on Capri famous for the electric blue light that fills it. Entry is operated by local rowing boats and costs extra, paid in cash when you arrive. It's optional because sea conditions and waiting times can be unpredictable, so the tour doesn't guarantee access. You decide on the day whether to pay and wait.
Can I choose how long to spend swimming at each stop?
Yes. The skipper agrees the pace with you at the start of the day, so you can extend your time at Faraglioni or Marina Piccola for more swimming and snorkeling, or cut a stop short if you'd rather move on. This flexibility is built into the tour.
What happens during the afternoon at Capri?
After Marina Piccola, the boat docks at Capri's port and you disembark to explore on your own. You can ride the funicular to the Piazzetta and browse the shops, visit the town of Anacapri, relax in the Gardens of Augustus, or simply sit at a waterfront café. The crew stays with the boat. You rejoin them when you're ready to return.
Is snorkeling equipment included?
Yes. Snorkeling gear is on board and included, so you can explore the seabed at Faraglioni and Marina Piccola without bringing your own or paying extra.
Where does the boat pick me up?
Pickup is included from Salerno, Vietri sul Mare, Maiori or Minori: whichever port is most convenient for you. You choose at booking.
