The experience

A sommelier arrives at your villa with a curated selection of Umbrian or Tuscan wines, you choose the region, and walks you through each bottle at whatever speed suits you. No driving to a winery, no fixed schedule, no other groups: the tasting happens in your accommodation with wine glasses, tasting placemats, a corkscrew and everything else already there. Bread and tasting snacks come with it, so you're set to sit, sip and listen to the stories behind the wines and the native grape varieties that made them.

The sommelier guides you through tasting techniques and local traditions, but the whole experience is built around what you want to know and how long you want to linger over each glass. A couple celebrating an anniversary, a family wanting to learn something together, a small group of friends: the setup works the same way because it's private and tailored to whoever is in the room.
