The experience
Positano is the starting point for a full day on the water that moves at your pace. The boat carries only your group, so the skipper adjusts stops and timing to what you want to see and how long you want to linger. You'll pass Marina di Praia, where cliffs over 100 meters high frame a narrow beach, and pull in at the Emerald Grotto, a sea cave discovered in 1932 whose walls glow green when sunlight filters through the opening above. The water inside is clear enough to see the bottom, and you can swim or snorkel right there.
Swimming and snorkeling happen at multiple stops along the route: the itinerary names Tordigliano, Fornillo Beach near Positano, and the waters around the Li Galli islands, where legend says sirens once sang to passing sailors. A hostess serves aperitif and brunch with local food specialties as you cruise, along with prosecco, beer, water, and limoncello. The boat has a restroom on board and carries all the snorkeling equipment you need.
You'll have time to walk through Positano, called the Vertical City for the way it cascades down the cliffs, and through Amalfi, the oldest city on the coast, where the Cathedral and narrow alleys are worth an hour on foot. The Emerald Grotto and the stops for swimming are the anchors of the day, but the route can shift if weather or your interests pull it another way. The tour runs seven to eight hours total, including travel time, and ends with a return to your starting point by private dock or pier.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Italian.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What is the Emerald Grotto and why is it worth visiting?
The Emerald Grotto is a sea cave on the Amalfi Coast discovered in 1932, accessible only by boat. The cave's walls shine with emerald green from the way sunlight reflects off the water through an opening in the ceiling, and you can swim and snorkel inside the clear water.
Can I walk around Positano and Amalfi during the tour?
Yes, the tour includes time to disembark and explore both towns on foot. Positano is known for its hand-made shops and steep streets, while Amalfi has the Cathedral and narrow alleys worth wandering.
What swimming and snorkeling stops are included?
The boat stops at multiple spots along the Amalfi Coast for swimming and snorkeling, including Tordigliano, Fornillo Beach, and the waters near the Li Galli islands. All snorkeling equipment is provided.
What food and drinks are served on the boat?
A hostess serves an aperitif and brunch with local food specialties, along with prosecco, beer, water, soda, limoncello, and spritz throughout the day.
How does the private boat change the experience compared to a group tour?
Because the boat is yours alone, the skipper can adjust the route, timing, and stops to match what you want to see and how long you want to stay at each place, rather than following a fixed schedule.
