The experience
You arrive at Sergio's terrace apartment in Praiano with a free afternoon and no plan to fill it. The kitchen is large and comfortable, and Sergio speaks English. He walks you through the techniques for making homemade pasta (cavatelli, gnocchi or ravioli), and fresh sauces like basil pesto or eggplant parmigiana, depending on what the season offers. You work with your hands, not watching a demo: you shape the dough, you learn the pressure and the timing, you ask questions as they come up. Tiramisu rounds out the menu. Everything you make comes from recipes his family has used for years, and he shares the reasoning behind each step so you understand why it works, not just how.
Once the cooking is done, you move to the terrace. The meal you prepared sits in front of you: the pasta you rolled, the sauce you stirred, the tiramisu you layered. Sergio pours local wine he made himself, and the view opens across Positano and the coast. This is not a restaurant meal. It is the thing you built, eaten in the place it belongs. The class runs three hours total, lunch or dinner depending on which option you choose at checkout.
Sergio can adjust the menu ahead of time if you have allergies, dietary restrictions or preferences (gluten-free, lactose-free, vegetarian), so let him know when you book. The class is private, just you and whoever you bring, so the pace and the focus stay on what you want to learn.
