The experience
You arrive at a home kitchen in Praiano and get your own workstation with knives, pots and everything you need to cook. The host (one of Cesarine's network of home cooks across Italy) walks you through three recipes: a seasonal starter, a fresh pasta dish (which might be scialatielli, birboni, paccheri, tagliolini or ndunderi gnocchi, depending on what's in season), and a Praiano dessert like delizie al limone, babà, sfogliatella, or tiramisu. You're not watching a demonstration. You're handling the ingredients and the technique yourself, with the host there to show you the tricks that make these dishes work.
Once everything is cooked, you sit down to eat what you've made. The meal comes with a selection of local red and white wines, water and coffee. The whole experience takes three hours, and you can choose whether the meal happens at lunch or dinner time when you book.
