The experience
You learn to roll 'sfoglia', fresh pasta dough, by hand, then make two iconic pasta types: one stuffed and one fresh. A Cesarina, one of Italy's network of home cooks who open their kitchens to travelers, teaches you her family recipes in her own home in San Gemini. The class wraps with tiramisu, the layered dessert that closes nearly every Italian meal. Everything you make, you taste. The aperitivo (prosecco and nibbles) comes at the start to settle you in.
The group stays small, capped at 12 people, so there's room to ask questions and move around the kitchen without crowding. Your host speaks English or Italian, and the whole thing runs three hours. Water, wine and coffee flow throughout. You leave with an official Le Cesarine apron and the muscle memory of how to shape pasta the way an Italian home cook does it.
What’s included
- Italian aperitivo with prosecco and nibbles.
- water, wine and coffee.
- tasting of both pasta types and tiramisu you prepare.
